The Wednesday Bird Walk now meets at 7 AM at the East Wetlands starting September 16.
It only takes 1 minute to add your name to this letter that the National Audubon Society (NAS) is putting together to urge the U.S. Forest Service to reconsider their proposal to rescind the 2001 Roadless Rule.
"One of the most significant conservation measures adopted to protect the national forests of the United States, the Roadless Rule prohibits industrial logging and most roadbuilding within intact areas of our public forests while allowing for active management to mitigate fire risk, ensure community safety, and maintain healthy wildlife habitat."
The deadline to add your name is Tuesday, October 6. Please consider doing it and sharing the letter to anyone who you think may care. Thank you!
